Br. Rafael is a solemnly professed monk of New Clairvaux.  Although his primary duty is the management of the abbey vineyards, his passion for photography takes him into all corners of the abbey's property.  A self-taught artist in various mediums, he is always eager to learn a bit more.

These sets of pictures were taken during my recent trip to attend a course in Scripture at St. John's University, Collegeville, Minnesota.  While I was there, I had the opportunity to visit my abbot's hometown in North Dakota as well as a trip across the border into the Peace Gardens in Manitoba, Canada.  Enjoy!
